Bullying in today's times

Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a bully as one who's habitual cruel to others that are weaker.

1 Samuel 17:45

45Then said David to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts.....

My friend, are you facing a bully in your life? Is there someone that wants your lunch money, music player, cell phone, or even your clothes? Whose blogging negative things about you and pursing you after every class and activity?

Perhaps, all of these questions are real concerns but you don't have to live in fear of the "Bully".

1 Samuel 17 shares the story of David who was confronted with a similar situation. The giant, Goliath threaten to kill anyone who opposed the Philistines. Imagine, Goliath’s Facebook highlighting his intention to feed David to the birds. Nevertheless, David was not intimidated by the giant.

Just as David was confident of God’s ability to use him during these challenging moments, you too can be assured that God will take care of you.

As you walk in God’s confidence here are some things to consider:
  • Avoid fighting or arguing with a "Bully". Ex.14:14
  • Pray for God to bring peace and wisdom over the problem. Matthew 5:9
  • Always talk to an adult about the problem. Proverb 11:14
  • Share with trusted friends, they too may need help with bullies. Proverb 17:17
Friend, David used "rocks" to get rid of his bully. You have a rock, His name is JESUS!!!

Therefore, remember whether in school, on the internet, or at the playground you don't have to be intimidated by a "Bully".

Be Blessed!
